Chris & Micah
I've know Chris for about 13 years, so when he told me he was getting married and wanted me to make his cake I was thrilled! Even though he's had my cake on several occasions (I think I made 5 of his friends wedding cakes over the years), we set up an official consultation and tasting so Micah could meet me and be part of the decision making. Chris is in the culinary field and had an idea of what he wanted the cake to look like, even providing me with a rough sketch. 5 cakes, to look like gift boxes, all on different height risers. Color scheme: platinum and pearl. Final design on boxes up to me. I ended up making 6 cakes (more is always better!), and really wanted it to be like nothing they had seen before.
The reception was held at the Foundation for the Carolinas in uptown Charlotte

It's very rare the bride and groom are in the room while we're all setting up, but it so glad they were so I could see their reaction to the cakes. I think it's safe to say they were blown away!
Congratulations Chris and Micah! Wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness!
